Nitin Mehta, an ex-army officer-turned-model is proving above by setting fire in the world of modeling. From serving the nation as an army officer to being a successful model taking the fashion industry by storm, Nitin Mehta’s inspiring journey proves that anything is possible, we just have to wait for the correct time. He is an Indian film Actor, who has worked predominantly in Tamil and Telugu movie industry. He has worked in popular movies like Akhanda, Adanga Maru. His previous film to hit the theatres was Akhanda in the year 2021. He left the army in 2016. He had served the country for 21 years. Nitin also had no idea that he would become a model and actor. In such a situation, let’s know how his journey started.
Nitin Mehta was born in an army family. His father was also an army officer. Nitin Mehta says that once he becomes army officer, he always remains an army officer. He says that he has learned everything from the army itself. Due to an injury sustained in an accident, he had to take voluntary retirement from the army. After this accident, the fate had approved something else. Luck brought him to stand at such a turn, which he had no idea. Someone spotted Nitin Mehta with a beard look at the airport. That person offered Nitin a small role in the film. He did not do that role due to some reasons, but yes this incident definitely changed his thinking. After this, he thought that he should try his hand in the field of modeling, but had no idea of how it works in the modeling industry. Nitin was away from the world of films and fashion because he was in the army.
He believed that what would happen at the most, some money would have gone in the portfolio shoot. Nitin had decided to fly in a different direction. In the end, his decision was right. Slowly he started getting work. Then he got a call for Mumbai Lakme Fashion Week and he slayed the ramp.
Nitin Mehta says that he learned from young models. From walking on ramp to styling himself, the youth taught him everything. He did not feel shy because of his age, nor did he let age become an obstacle in the learning phase. He started trying to learn something new from every person. Many times he had to face rejections too, because the effect of age was somewhere, but he was not much affected by it.
Now he is also seen acting in films and music videos.
Nitin Mehta worked with Akshay Kumar in the music videos of ‘Filhaal‘ and ‘Filhaal 2′. He appeared to be the father of Akshay Kumar’s love interest. Apart from this, Nitin has also worked with Deepika Padukone for Tanishq and Amitabh Bachan for Kalyan Jewellers. Nitin Mehta’s career began with a beautiful movie called Akhanda with Nandamuri Balakrishna that went on to become a super hit where his negative character was applauded and recognized all across the country. He has also adorned a role in several ads- Tanishq, Kalyan jewellers, Vistara, Spice Jet and so many more. He is now a regular face in print and TV commercials and has walked the ramp for Lakme Fashion Week just before joining the Tamil and Telugu films.
His upcoming projects are: RAVANASURA, SPY , SOUND , DEVIL (all Telugu) and one unnamed Tamil movie with Sasikumar and director Thangam Pa Saravanan.
