India is committed to sharing all Covid experiences with the world!
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday offered Cowin to be available to all countries as a “Digital public good”. Also, he asserted that it has been committed to sharing its expertise and resources with the global community in combating global pandemics.
Addressing the CoWIN Global Conclave via digital conference, he said that, this platform is being made open source so that it is available to all countries. Adding that, vaccination is the best hope for humanity to emerge from the World wide pandemic successfully.
Talking about the process of launching Cowin as a digital public good, he said that it will be a complete digital approach. All the verification and exercises would be done digitally. This will help people to get assured that they are vaccinated and could help them to adapt to the normalcy of post-pandemic. He also mentioned that it will also help the world to grow and be active digitally. He said it will be more safe and secure trustworthy proof to establish their vaccination.

PM Modi manifesting Traits of Indian civilization-
Indian civilization is known for its affinity and cooperative traits. Walking on the history, Govt. has taken such a step. PMO believes that no nation, no matter how much powerful and prosperous, cannot cop out this challenge alone.
“Right from the beginning of the pandemic, India has been committed to sharing all our experience, expertise, and resources with the global community in this battle,” said Prime minister Modi. He added, ” From the beginning of the pandemic, India has tried sharing as much as possible.”
“Pandemic has taught the world that for humanity and human cause, all nations have to work and move ahead together. ” We have learned from each other and guide each other about best practices. Together we can overcome this pandemic soon” said PM Modi.
“The COVID tracing and tracking App (CoWIN App) was made Open source as soon as it was technically feasible,” he said.

About 50 countries, including Canada, Mexico, Nigeria, Panama, Uganda have shown interest in adopting CoWIN as their vaccination drive.
Dr. RS Sharma , the CEO of National Health Authority (NHA) said CoWIN has become fastest tech platform in the world to amass over 200 million registrations in a record of four months.
“Soon India will be ready to share the open-source software for free,” said Dr. RS Sharma.
