“A person and an organization must have goals, take actions to achieve those goals, gather evidence of achievement, study and reflect on the data, and from that, take actions again.” Thus, they are in a continuous feedback spiral toward continuous improvement. The motivation bestowed(given) by W. Edwards Deming somewhat resembles the story of Dr. Periasamy Pradeep Ravichandran. He is a man who constantly seeks change, improves, and then changes again for the better, for the best.
Dr. Periasamy is a man who is a believer, an optimist, and a learner. His career as an entrepreneur spanned more than a decade, and he launched his first company, which was an educational technology company. But walking that path has not been a piece of cake. The year 2013 saw the first anniversary of his Edutech company, which was marked with a huge party with his staff. The lessons he learned in business have been invaluable, and throughout that year, his entire team has been pleased and aware that things have been progressing well, but on a more personal note, he didn’t have so much as a single penny with which to buy a meal while his stomach was growling. He found it difficult to sleep through the night.
Alongside that, persuading his family of the idea of him being an entrepreneur has been a massive struggle. Everyone has been putting enormous amounts of pressure on him to bear himself out. But despite that, he was fortunate to have a fantastic team around him.
To overcome the obstacles in his business, he decided to keep a record of his entrepreneurial experiences so that he could recall and see what went wrong and where improvements needed to be made. After much soul-searching, he decided to launch numerous branches of his company to maximize profits. To break even in only 18 months, he intended to open up branches of his firm in four more cities. That being said, he achieved success and the goal of opening those six branches within a year was met. He operated physical institutions in six districts throughout the state of Tamil Nadu, including Coimbatore, Nagercoil, Tirunelveli, Madurai, and others.
In the year 2015, he created his own organic food company, which was run as an online store, and he began expanding his customer base across the whole state of Tamil Nadu. He became interested in becoming a digital entrepreneur as a result of the fact that the firm was thriving, but because he had a significant amount of work to do, he didn’t know much about technology. So, he decided to enroll in a Business Analytics course at IIM that would cover things like “big data,” “artificial intelligence,” and “machine learning.” Since he had to devote more time to his studies, he was unable to contribute to the business. Therefore, in 2019, he decided to sell two of the businesses and put more of his attention into advancing his education and abilities, and the year 2021 marked the beginning of his current company, which goes by the name BiggDa AIML Analytics.
After that, it was felt that the most difficult aspect of his work has been convincing customers that cutting-edge technologies like AI, ML, and big data will actually be beneficial to their business. His company shows them data visualizations until they either comprehend the technology or experience the outcome for themselves in their company.
Secondly, every company, no matter how long it has been operating, has trouble finding sufficient funding at some point. For his present enterprise, he has resolved this problem. He has enlisted the assistance of his fellow Business Analytics friends, who have proven to be invaluable. He has also encouraged interns and new hires with strong technical backgrounds to pitch in and get the job done. Since he has got a solid technical staff, his company can educate them to meet the needs of their customers.
By using big data, AI, and ML, his company assists both new and existing businesses in expanding into lucrative new markets. For some businesses, this might mean a 60 percent reduction in the money spent on things like marketing, expanding their operations, or getting a positive review of their product or service. His company stands out from the crowd since they cater to startups and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with its expertise in technology and data.
Doctor Perisamy offers his success mantra, stating his belief that it’s human nature to make blunders as entrepreneurs. Promoting and selling your product are not the most crucial aspects of a startup. Attempt to reflect on past errors and use this as a learning experience by writing down your observations in a diary. Separate yourself from your emotions at the time and put on the guise of a consultant from the outside and get the job done with the correct information at hand.
