V-FOUNDATION

Once Denzel Washington said– AT THE END, IT’S NOT ABOUT WHAT YOU HAVE OR EVEN WHAT YOU’VE ACCOMPLISHED. IT’S ABOUT WHO YOU’VE LIFTED UP, WHO YOU’VE MADE BETTER. IT’S ABOUT WHAT YOU’VE GIVEN BACK.” Walking on this same line , the V foundation is trying to bring changes in the lives of those who are helpless and needy.

INTRODUCTION

V- Foundation is a Vishakhapatnam-based NGO(Non-Governmental Organization) working with the major motto of “Eliminating Hunger”. This foundation was established in early 2022 by the five young members :

1. Keti Varshita, age 17, student.
2.Aftab Khan ,age 19 ,student.
3.Paturi Bhavana, age 17 ,student.
4.Anish Singha ,age 18, student.
5.Sumanth ,age 17 ,student.

These are the group of young people with broad mindset to create some change in the society. Their work has clearly proved the quote “There is no age bar for character development and great thought.”

The name of the organisation ,V- Foundation,has been kept after the name of the place where these young minds are currently residing i.e,Vizag , India.

FIELD OF SERVICE

This NGO has been constantly working in almost all fields to eliminate all dimensions of poverty i.e, Food,cloth, Education and Occupation.
They have done a number of food drives in vizag and nearby areas and are doing so continuously. The noticeable thing is even after having shortage of funds they are doing these things .This is possible because of their brilliant minds.

These people collect both the leftovers and unused foods from marriage , party etc separately.After that at right time they deliver the good foods to orphanages,Old age homes and other places where there is real requirement and leftovers to Animal Shelters. They have fed more than 500 people in last one month.
Apart from elimination of hunger , their main focus is on education.They have been distributing educational kits to the kids of orphanages continuously.Very currently they organised a drawing competition at spoorti orphanage located in gajuwaka,Vizag, for young children.They distributed colours, copies and other items to all the kids and gave reward to the winners.

Aftab, one of the founding member has been working with his family and friends to give some livelihood to the needy people.He has already managed to arrange some basic livelihood to atleast 10 persons by talking to different people who needed workers.

Such a empathetic heart and brilliant mind at this young age shows some hope as to how India can be hunger free in forthcoming years .

PLAN FOR FUTURE

This foundation is working hard to establish different branches at various places in India so that it can work for more people.It has around 35-40 working members currently and they are giving their service to needy free of cost .
Founding members are expecting to open orphanages and old age homes of their own so that they can give proper care, education and life to helpless people.
