
FITNESS IN DAILY LIFE
In March 2020, when the pandemic first sent people indoors, it started becoming clear that no matter how much we planned our life, there could be always uncertainty in life. Today everyone is fighting their own battles, it may be financial, physical, or mental.
Confronting anxiety and restlessness–
Being at home all day can be very stressful and energy-sucking and eventually we may drag ourselves to depression or physical ailments. This time last year we were cooped up at home, hoping everything to get back to normal. But after being at home for more than one year, there is a constant feeling of restlessness and uncertainty about the future.
But it is necessary that as an individual you must grow even by staying all day in a room by doing some engaging activities like gardening, painting, cooking and exploring ourselves.
Importance of fitness and ways to improve our fitness in daily life–
As a result , fitness is going to play a prominent role in the battle with COVID-19. We often come across several advertisements and suggestion who talks about the fitness in long run. But, no one talks about fitness in daily life. How our small habits can make our body respond in different ways….how our food habits can influence us… How our morning rituals can make our day? So, In this article, we are going to have concern over such trivial but worthy daily life routines which will contribute towards fitness in long run!
1.PHYSICAL FITNESS–
We must have read this quote that “a sound mind in a sound body ” emphasizes the importance of physical fitness. However, it is a misconception that a perfect slim body is a fit body but physical fitness is all about being active and productive without any fatigue.
There are a lot of ways to improve physical fitness like yoga, gym, proper food habits, and self-care. Some of the daily life routines which contribute towards physical fitness are mentioned below —
1. MORNING HABITS – Every one of us wants our day to start with positivity and the right energy and a perfect morning habit can contribute towards it undoubtedly.
a) we must not use the phone right after getting off the bed. Instead, we should refresh ourselves by having a cup of tea, reading the newspaper, sitting for at least 20 mins in the morning sun.
b) Yoga is another very crucial habit to take up in the mornings as it will not only help you to stay fit but also give you the energy to deal with anxiety. There are a lot of yoga asanas that can prove to be beneficial to cure deep-rooted ailments like diabetes, obesity, heart diseases.

2. FOOD HABITS — Food habits are another very crucial part of good physical fitness and we should prefer healthy food which has a limited amount of calories. We often come across the news that obesity is becoming another very common ailment among teenagers and young during the lockdown. This is because of the alter in food habits. In quarantine, people are generally preferring junk foods over a healthy and strict diet. Hence this can be problematic in long run.
HOW IT CAN BE IMPROVED–
• We must have some light and healthy breakfast in the morning which should contain protein, vitamins, and minerals such as we can have eggs, fruits, dry fruits in the morning.
• We must have our breakfast, lunch, and dinner at their particular time. We must include at least one green veggie in our thali. Our diet must contain the proper amount of carbohydrates, protein and must include at least all kinds of vitamins and minerals.
3. SLEEPING HABITS —
We all know it is very necessary to have a proper sleep of at least 6-7 hours a day. But due to the continued work and pandemic fatigue sleeping habits of every individual have been affected adversely.
Sleep deprivation welcomes a lot of diseases like obesity, heart diseases and also badly affect the mental health of an individual. From the data of international agencies.. it was seen that most of the sleep disorder is because of the faulty lifestyle and bad Management of the day. Here are some of the tips to manage your day and reduce fatigue as well as sleep deprivation–
a) plan your day. Set reminders to perform specific tasks. This will help to engage yourself in different activities rather than sticking to one.
b) Have leisure time. In this period, do all things you love. It could be reading books, playing games, or watching your favorite movie and series. And yes. Don’t push yourself to be productive all the time!!
c) Relief your stress by talking to your friends, family, and close ones as it will help you to manage your anxiety and restlessness. Don’t hesitate to have professional help if needed!
d) Take a break from social media because Scrolling through news endlessly can stress you out. Have a cut-off time.
e) Don’t forget to have “me time”. Don’t be harsh on yourself. Just because you are stuck at home doesn’t mean you have to keep yourself busy. Take it slow!

2.MENTAL HEALTH
Mental health is all about emotional, physiological, and social well-being. Alterations in mental health can adversely affect you as a person. So it’s very important to be mentally fit to be socially acceptable.
