
In our day to day life, films play a very viral role to keep us entertained, motivated and enlightened. We generally talk about the actors and co-actors of the film but in this article we are going to have a look on the life of a Film Director known as Fareed Kairon.
Making a career as a film-maker requires painstaking determination, resilience and vision. It can be a tough road to travel. Film directors are typically hired on the strength of their track record making it very difficult for aspiring young people to get a foothold in the industry. The only way in which young filmmakers can build up a portfolio of work to attract potential producers and investors is to start off as an independent filmmaker.
A filmmaker is in charge of making, leading, and developing movie productions. It is a career that allows an individual to use their leadership as well as creative thinking skills to lead and direct major motion pictures or television shows. Fareed has proved himself to be prolific in his field, with even more in store for the journey ahead.

Fareed Kairon was born on 9th December 1995 in Pune. At the age of 7 years, he moved to Malaysia where he stayed for 11 years. For his college and post-grad, Fareed pursued filmmaking in Paris, where he specialized in visual direction and screenwriting. Over the course of 6 years, he used his time as a student to write, direct and edit 8 acclaimed, multi award winning short films. These films range from visually dynamic psychological thrillers to heartfelt dramas exploring mental health and familial relationships.
At present, he is based in Gurgaon, Haryana; using his skills as a content creator to direct and edit ad films and narrative fiction. As he navigates the tough waters of the film industry, Fareed credits his parents for showing support and encouragement for his film career; stating “ I’m grateful to my family for always giving me the space to create and discover. Cinema – and by extension the arts remain a difficult dream to pursue. I’m aware that there are others like me who perhaps weren’t as lucky.” Adding: “Every day on a set feels like a blessing.”
The young director was always found of visual storytelling. Since the age of 6, he had a keen interest in film, often trying to recreate iconic images by drawing them, or making amateur stop motion films with school friends. Over the years, his confidence to pursue filmmaking only grew; as he developed a keen interest in writing scripts of his own.
Fareed is now looking to establish himself as a working director. After his time in France and Malaysia, he now wishes to truly capture India’s sensibilities in the most authentic way possible – but always through his personal point of view. “I think what has defined my journey thus far is this constant search for perspective” he says. “I can’t wait to see what lies ahead. I have and always will have so much more to learn. And as I’ve grown, that prospect has become all the more exciting.”
He is also planning to create content for streaming platforms. Streaming has become a driving force for content in today’s film industry. Many young filmmakers look at it as an entry point for their stories.

He is a man who loves to work with the actors who are down to earth, have a very generous nature for all and have that human qualities that makes them awaken in that journey. He likes to works with the actors who can do the work material wise and can elevate the story that he wants to portray. He is currently working on his horror short film and planning to promote that on many platforms. He is going to take his time to make it more natural. He may be seen directing some add films.
He said:- The characters in my films try to live honestly and make the most of the lives they’ve been given. I believe the best drama stems from characters at war with themselves. Wrestling with one’s morality is real human drama.
According to him becoming a film director requires unmatched passion, vision, and dedication, all three of which are virtues to be channeled into high-quality films. Directing is a high pressure job and demands firm leadership and untamed imagination. A director must know how to manage people as well as how to be managed, two aspects of the job on which a film’s success hinges. Though achieving success in the field is no easy task, no other career would quell the artistic needs of a born film director.
